Last Thursday we were very privileged to have Giles Garcia from Ronin Grappling down for the JiuJitsu class. Giles had come down in the afternoon to go over future training material and decided to stay down and teach the evening class.
At the beginning of the session, Giles awarded Steve Murray with his blue belt. Giles had received special permission from Christian Graugart of BJJ Globe Trotters to give the belt to Steve. “Steve has been training for some years now, and has proven to be absolutely capable in both Gi and No-Gi, very knowledgeable, yet still eager to learn and develop further,” said Giles. He went on to say, “Having rolled with his students, and spending time with them, I have no doubt that he is also an excellent teacher, and that we will continue to work well together in the future!”
Steve has worked hard for this, with a dedication to his own training and the running of the club. All of us here at Evolution MMA agree it is a well deserved promotion!
